Footage from my recent Strongman Performance
This is footage of part of my strongman performance I had done for a tech company in New York. Great group of people.
Wouldn’t it be cool to train with a professional strongman? If you’re interested in giving it a go, I have a trial membership available to see if we are a good fit for each other. Simply call or text 973 476 5328 and tell me who you are and what you’d like to accomplish.

Fitness Training is about “carry over”
Earlier this morning I was having a conversation with one of my personal training clients. She had told me she went skiing recently and didn’t feel at all tired from carrying her stuff (where previously she would need to take a break
Also during this conversation I had mentioned that what we do in the personal training studio, is intended to make what we do in the real world better. Some exercises and training methods are simply better than others at doing that. I try to stick to those as much as possible.
And I know whether or not it worked when I get feedback like that.
When you think physical fitness, you typically think of cardiovascular fitness. And yeah, that may or may not be part of it depending on what the task is. And the task is really what we are talking about.
I credit Dan John for clarifying this for me. Fitness is the physical ability to perform a task. For this woman in this instance, the task was skiing. She was able to do so more effectively. I have another client who runs, bikes, and swims in triathlons. Triathlons are the task that she is training to have the physical ability to do more effectively.
I have another that does yoga, and another that hikes. Both are more effective having trained. One of my guys was helping some of his relatives move and his brother in law was struggling, while he breezed through it. And yet another one of my guys was telling me how he was helping his brother move some concrete on a project they were working on. His brother had told him his friend who trains couldn’t do it.
Many of my clients
Also this morning I was having a chat with a different client and she was telling me how she noticed the confidence of someone she had referred to me had dramatically improved. That comes with being fit as well. Competence improves confidence and since getting stronger can help you be more effective, ie competent, the confidence comes with it as well.
And if you are confident in yourself, your perception of the world changes. If you would like help with this I have a trial membership available. Text me at 973 476 5328 to get started.
