Sledgehammer Levering, Feats of Strength Friday

Yes I know it’s a couple days late posting it here on the site, but better late than never.

So if you’ve been following me for any period of time, you might know that in addition to being a personal trainer with a personal training studio located on Main Street in Boonton, that I also am a modern day professional performing strongman and motivational speaker.

When I’m up on stage giving the motivational speaking part of my strongman show, my finale feat involves telling a story about Slim the Hammerman. Even though I use bending reinforcing steel on the bridge of my nose as an illustration, something Slim had also done, what Slim is really known for was levering sledge hammers.

Slim Levering Two Heavy Sledgehammers

Slim is the perfect example of strength being timeless as he once did a feat twice as hard as something I had a missed attempt at doing…on his 80th birthday. It’s a central story that I open with during my presentations for boomers and seniors about strength and it’s importance for living life on our own terms.

So here it is, me having a go at levering a sledgehammer.

Btw more information about Slim can be found here. https://www.oldtimestrongman.com/blog/2016/06/14/slim-the-hammer-man-farman/
